I DID IT!!!

I rolled over last night, from my back to my stomach and I didn't even get mad!! I guess Mommy and Daddy are really going to have to watch me now. Pretty soon I am going to be on the move and they won't be able to catch me...hopefully with Daddy and Mommy's genes I will be fast!! But for now I will settle for rolling over...Ethan

4 Months Old!!!!

So I am turning into a big boy right before your eyes!! I turned four months old last week and so much has changed!! I now sleep in my big boy crib...I didn't like it so much the first couple of nights but I am slowly getting the hang of it. I also had my first taste of rice cereal. It was tasty!! I think I like chewing on the spoon more then actually eating the cereal. Mommy was going crazy because I have it all over me and Daddy kept taking my picture so I had too smile. I mean really Mom, how can I smile and eat at the same time without it getting all over me!! I also went and saw Santa last week...he wrote my name down on his good list. I'm not really sure what that means but I guess I will find out on December 25th...Ethan

It's been too long...

Sorry I haven't wrote in a long time...we have been quite busy. Mommy and Daddy decided to have Mommy stay home with me the rest of the school year...needless to say I am so excited!! We went and visited Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Chris this weekend, it was a quick trip. Grandma had eye surgery today and the doctor said everything went well. Also Granny and Papa are down in Texas because Papa is donating some of his stem cells to my Great Uncle Clarence....speaking of doctors....I go to the doctor on Friday for my 4 month check up!! Yes I am getting oh so old...hope everyone is having fun shopping!! Ethan

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving...ours was fantastic!! Mommy actually made the the turkey...she even touched it raw!! Grandma and Granny helped with a lot of the side dishes and Daddy was also a BIG help in the kitchen. Everyone came to our house it was nice and cozy. I can't wait until next year when I can try some of the food ... now I hope everyone is getting ready for Santa, I have been told that he is coming soon!!~~Ethan

On the road again...

Mommy is making use of her time off...she is taking me everywhere!! We went to Richmond yesterday and Mommy and Papa ran in an 8K race today. They did a great job but I missed it all because I was sleeping. Last night I hungout with my cousin Grayson. He just came back from a trip to Florida and brought me back all kinds of good things. Tomorrow Mommy and Daddy and I leave for Cincinnati Ohio...Daddy has to go for work so we are tagging along...again!! I am going to be a world class traveler by the time I am one. So I hope everyone has a good week and I will talk to you next weekend....Ethan

3 Months old....

I can't believe I am 3 months old today...Mommy says time is going by too fast but I love it because I am learning, doing, and enjoying things new everyday!! Yesterday Mommy and I went and met Papa for lunch. I talked the whole time, I don't even think Mommy got to say anything to Papa. Today Granny came up and played with me...she told me stories and rocked me right to sleep...:) Happy 3 month Birthday to me...Ethan

Another day in the life of Ethan Andrew Conklin....

Today I have been hanging out with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Chris. Mommy drove us all up to Daddy's work and we had lunch with him. When we came home Mommy went for a run and Grandpa took me for a walk. I guess I wore him out....Ethan

Happy Halloween...
Mommy had fun yesterday putting me in all the little outfits people had bought me for Halloween...thanks again everyone!! I didn't get to eat any candy this year but I know Mommy and Daddy ate enough for me too (maybe next year??). Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Chris are coming to visit me today...I can't wait. See ya...Ethan

Football Sunday...

Today I got to wear my Giants outfit and Daddy and I have been watching the Giants on TV. I like to take naps throughout the game (Mommy does too), so Daddy fills us in when something good happens!! We also went to Target today and Mommy and Daddy bought me a new chair. My head is still a little wobbly so I can't sit in it for a long time....hope everyone had a good weekend!! Ethan

We're Back....
Sunny Florida was fun and low key. The weather was a big change from here at home. Mom was happy that I got to wear some of my summer outfits for the first and last time. Dad had to work the whole time we were there but hung out with us at night. We didn't do much because me and the sun don't mix yet. We went shopping, of course!! The airplane ride was a breeze, I don't remember much because the rumbling of the plane put me right to sleep!! We are glad to be back home...Ethan

Today was a fun day...we went to Baltimore and hung out with some of Mommy and Daddy's friends. I can't really say what we were watching, it was called the Flug Tag event. People from all over the world build these machines and run them off a ramp to see whose machine can fly the farthest into the water...interesting huh!?! The weather was nice but the music was really loud. It didn't seem to faze me, I still was able to nap!! We are all hanging low tonight because tomorrow we have to start packing for our trip to Florida on Monday. Daddy has to go down there for work so Mommy and I decided to tag along with him. Yes, it is going to be my first time on an airplane...don't worry I will let you know all about it when we get back!! Ethan

Going...Going...Gone...

I am feeling better today...so Mommy had me exercising since I missed my workout yesterday. I am getting stronger and stronger everyday. I can roll over from my stomach to back but I haven't made it from my back to stomach yet... I am working on it!! Hope everyone had a good day today...Ethan

Rainy Day....but still smiling

Good thing today it is raining because I won't be going any where. I woke up with 101.4 fever...Mommy is taking care of me. I guess those shots really got to me yesterday. The doctors told us this could happen and of course it happens to me!! Ethan

Trip down south.... sleeping with Papa and hay ride

I had a fun weekend at Granny and Papa's house. We all went on a hay ride to a pumpkin patch on Saturday and I got to see my first pumpkin. Well I didn't really see much because that fresh air put me right to sleep and the bumpy hay ride kept me asleep the whole time!! On Sunday I went shopping at Grayson's closet...a great little baby clothes store and things were very cheap (thanks cuz:))! Today started another week and I am now 10 weeks old. I went to the doctor today and got four shots...yes I took it like Daddy would...I cried!! But Mommy and Daddy were there to hold me so I felt much better. At the doctor I weighed in at 12lbs 14ozs and was 24 inches long. That put me in the 75% so that made Mom and Dad happy. Well the rest of today I have been resting from my weekend trip and my doctors visit....can't wait to see where Mommy and Daddy take me next!! Ethan

Like father like son....

For those of you that don't know Daddy had a lambie when he was a little boy and Grandma bought me one just like Daddy's!! We are on our way to Richmond this weekend to see Granny, Papa, Uncle Chris, Aunt Angie, and my cousin Grayson. Up and down the east coast we go....Ethan

tastes good...

So the last few weeks I have discovered my hands and I can't seem to get enough of them. I have even tried to get both of them in my mouth at the same time!! Mommy keeps telling me that they won't fit but I keep trying ;). We went and had lunch with Daddy again today...all these lunch dates are fun and it gets Mommy and me out of the house (which I know she likes)...Ethan

Sleepy Mornings...

I rested up this morning because my Aunt Angie, Uncle Chris, and my cousin Grayson came to visit me. They took me shopping and out to lunch. All through lunch I was cooing and smiling but no one seemed to give me any of there food??? Maybe when I get older...Ethan:)

Hello again...Mommy and I have been hanging out all morning. We have been taking naps, watching my videos, talked to Dad and Uncle Chris, and this afternoon Mommy and Daddy are going to take me to look for a Halloween costume. I am not really sure what I want to be this year!?! In my picture above I was practicing my running so that someday I could run with Mommy (if she can still move by then:)). I hope everyone is having a good day....Ethan

I had a fun and restful weekend at Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Chris' house. I actually slept 5 hours straight...that helped Mom and Dad a lot!! Saturday was a long day for me...Grandma and Daddy took me on a walk while Mommy ran. I then went over to meet my Great Aunt Barbara, Great Uncle Lenny, and my cousins Lori, Dennis, Brian, and Jailyn. Jailyn and I seemed to meet eye to eye:) Later that night Daddy's friend Joe and his fiance Sarah came over and played with me. And by the end of the night I still had some energy for tummy time...I showed off by turning over 10 times from my tummy to my back!! I made Grandma's day on Sunday by being a good little boy in church...but I can't say the same for my Mom and Dad (they seemed to be the little kids laughing at the same old jokes). We made it home safe and sound and I can't wait to take another trip...as for Mom and Dad I think my laundry alone will keep them home for the week!!!

Today Mommy and me went out and had lunch with Daddy!! I smiled and looked at him the whole lunch and now I am resting up for my big trip tomorrow. We are heading up to Jersey to see Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Chris. I am excited to meet some of my Jersey family too. Oh and by the way I turn 2 months old on Saturday...Happy Birthday to me!! Ethan:)

Hello to all...

I just wanted everyone to be able to see me grow whenever they wanted!! Right now mom is home with me, while dad ventures to work. We all are enjoying the time we have as a new little family. We can't wait to see everyone! Love and miss you all...Ethan
